Acoustic Test Bottle TapTone now offers Test Bottles for its acoustic inspection systems. The Test Bottle provides a predetermined acoustic signal to benchmark the machine's performance. The Test Bottle is designed for steel crown ROPP closure applications, typically beer bottles.

Air Purge kit The air purge kit is used to circulate air through the x-ray sensor head to reduce heat and eliminate condensation inside the sensor. The kit is recommended for installations where there is humidity in excess
of 90%.

Belt Wash – T4000-DSC The belt wash system is designed to clean and dry the compression belts on the T4000-DSC. A nozzle at the outfeed of the system sprays the belts with water removing any loose product as the belt rotates along the back side of the system. A nozzle at the infeed end of the DSC blows air onto the belt removing excess water from the belts.

CMS Stand Conveyor Mount Variable Height Stand (CMS or CMVH) The Conveyor Mount Variable Height Stand is used to mount proximity, acoustic or optical cap inspection sensors to the conveyor. This option is often used when the conveyor height exceeds 66 in., (1,675mm) or when the use of the RTV pole is not desired.

Down Bottle Kit - Down Bottle Inspection The Down Bottle Inspection sensors will detect a bottle that has fallen over on the conveyor and was not inspected. The kit consists of a set of sensors located at the top and bottom of the container. If the sensor at the base detects a container and the sensor at the top does not, the system considers that the container is on its side. This option will also work on cans and stand up pouches.

The optional extension legs are required for applications where the production conveyor height is between 44 in. - 62 in. tall, (1,100mm - 1,575mm), based on a 3.5 in (90mm) container height.

High/Cocked Cap Detector incorporates a second set of photo beams mounted approximately .060 in. above the trigger photo beams. The upper photo beam pair detects any portion of the cap that is higher than normal. Special lenses are applied to the sensor to reduce the size of the beam pattern and increase accuracy.

Missing Label Detection consists of sensors that are applied to detect the presence of paper, plastic, and foil labels on glass, plastic, and metal containers. The label sensor illuminates the target with infrared light then measures the amount of diffused light reflected back to the receiver.

Missing Plastic Cap Detector - Single Solid Color consists of down looking fixed field photo sensor to determine cap presence. The missing cap photo beam has a 50mm (1.96 in.) standoff distance from the cap. Any cap within the 50mm range will be detected as present (the photo sensor does not measure curvature).

Proximity Test Can The Test Can provides a repeatable curvature for guaging the performance of your TapTone Proximity system. The Test Can has an adjustable plate at each end to accomodate different production pressure ranges. The Test Can has two individually adjustable ends to set for pass and fail merit values.

Reject Acknowledge is designed to detect a container that has failed the inspection process but was not ejected off the production conveyor. The system consists of sensors located down stream of the rejector. The sensors are mounted horizontally and focused across the production conveyor. If a container that should have been rejected breaks the photo beam, the sensor will trigger an output. A shaft encoder accurately monitors the location of the container from the reject device to the photo beam.

Rejector Air Pressure Monitor The T4000 reject air monitoring kit measures and displays the exact air pressure at the rejector regulator output. A digital output is supplied to the T4000 DSP board which monitors an upper and lower limit for the air pressure setting. If the reject air pressure changes outside of the user set range an alarm signal will be sent to the T4000 display.

Trigger Blow Off - T4000-DSC

The T4000 photo trigger air purge kit is designed to keep the lenses of the fiber optic photo triggers clean in harsh environments. The photo trigger air purge kit blows high pressure air across the face of each photo beam fiber optic lense to remove any contaminants that may block the proper operation of that sensor.

T4000 External Clean In Place - Clean In Place Option (CIP) The Clean-In-Place option consists of a series of spray nozzles located above and behind the compression conveyors. The system is designed to clean both the tops of the compression conveyor decks and the inside section of the conveyor decks behind the compression belts. The CIP system is manually activated.

UV (Ultraviolet) Detector is designed to detect the presence of luminescent tamper bands or labels on any container. The UV sensor is mounted to the conveyor up stream from the TapTone system. A shaft encoder is required for all up stream inspections.

Universal Leaker Kit The kit consists of a fitment that allows a precision orifice to be placed in a cap. The orifice sizes included in the kit are, .006 in., .008 in., .010 in., .013 in., .015 in., .020 in. (.152mm, .203mm, .254mm, .330mm, .381mm, .508mm). The kit also includes a pressure guage to measure the amount of internal pressure in the headspace of the container.
